Rwanda’s President met DRC Spy Chief and Foreign Affairs Minister Léonard She Okitundu

Topafricanews.com has established that Rwanda’s President and AU Chairperson Paul Kagame met with the Democratic Republic of Congo Spy Chief Kalev Mutond together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Léonard She Okitundu.

Kagame met them last week, according to IGIHE.com.

DRC has been a theatre ground of conflicts in past years.

Rwanda and DRC have been involved in several disputes in past years following the destabilization of the country’s security by FDLR militias blacklisted as a Genocidal and Terrorist Group.

However in these Days the Two Countries are somehow enjoying the diplomatic relations comparing to the past.

Recently Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the DRC President Joseph Kabila and Minister Léonard She Okitundu in Kinshasa.

DRC leaders pledged the support to Minister Louise Mushikiwabo who is currently busy for her candidacy to the Position of La Francophonie Secretary General.

In Most of the times Minister Mushikiwabo is being accompanied by Rwanda’s Economist Donald Kaberuka in tours that has over all objective of seeking support from various French speaking countries and giving President Kagame’s gratitude to countries already agreed to Support Minister Mushikiwabo.

Experts in the regional politics believe that DRC may fall into blood conflicts as the country is expecting to enter the Presidential Election Period which may also spread to neighboring countries.

President Kabila has asked his ruling party members to select four people from the party that they think can replace him as he finishes his office tenure.

In the meantime Minister Léonard She Okitundu is among the highly anticipated people who can win the Presidential elections.

This website learnt that Léonard She Okitundu gave Paul Kagame a message from his DRC counterpart Mr. Joseph Kabange Kabila.

The message contains information about ongoing preparations of elections, security among others.

Also French President Emmanuel Macron has commended AU for its contribution to make sure that DRC has Peaceful elections.

Rwanda and Angola are some countries that showed interests in helping this vast and mineral reach country to hold peaceful elections.

Apart from security Rwanda and DRC enjoy good trade relations.

DRC will hold elections in December, 2018.
