Trial of Diane Rwigara opens on Wednesday
The Court will resume trial of Diane Rwigara on Wednesday after being released on bail in early October after spending more than a year in pre-trial detention.
Diane Rwigara is accused of falsifying documents for her presidential candidacy file of August 2017, to which she could not participate, and incitement to insurrection, charges punishable by 7 to 15 years in prison respectively.
The three women were arrested in September 2017. The mother, Adeline Rwigara, also released on bail in early October, must appear Wednesday alongside Diane.
The lawsuits against his sister Anne were dropped in October 2017.
