President Kagame arrives in Addis-Abeba for AU Summit
President Paul Kagame who is also serving as Chairperson of the African Union has arrived in Addis-Abeba on Friday where he will chair the Extra-ordinary Summit of the African Union.
Forty-five leaders are expected at the 11th Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State of the African Union (AU) on 17 and 18 November at the organization’s headquarters in Addis Ababa.
African leaders will discuss the need for reforms of the AU Commission, make the continental organization more effective in meeting the needs of its 55 member states and enable it to cope with regional and international issues.
This extraordinary summit was preceded by a meeting of Ministers from 55 AU Member States on 14-15 November.
