Uganda: Panic as assailants chop Rwandan national into pieces
KIBAALE- Police in Kibaale district have launched a manhunt for assailants who ambushed and chopped into pieces Mr. Koroodi Bizimaana, 24, a Rwandese national.
The deceased is said to have migrated to Uganda and settled in Nyaburungi village, Kayanja parish, Kyebando Sub County, Kibaale district 2 years ago.
The area LC I chairman, Mr. Wilber Bangirana, said that, Koroodi was on Sunday night cut several times into pieces and residents had even failed to recognize him.
He said that the residents discovered the body along the roadside where the unknown assailants reportedly committed the horrific act on Sunday night.
The Officer in Charge Kibaale police station, Mr. Thomas Oyo said that the deceased was killed near his home from Kakenzi trading center which is a stone throw away. One suspect has been arrested to aid police investigations after his walking stick was allegedly found at the scene of crime.
