Unidentified attackers set fire to three passenger vehicles in Rwanda

PRESS RELEASE

Kigali, 15 December 2018: At 18:15 hrs in Cyitabi Sector of Nyamagabe District in Southern Rwanda, unidentified attackers set fire to three passenger vehicles, killing two civilians and injuring eight. The injured have been taken to Kigeme Hospital for treatment.
 
According to the Military Spokesperson, Lt Col Innocent Munyengango, the RDF is pursuing the attackers who fled into Nyungwe Forest:
 
“We have been watching the situation in this area for some time now and have a good idea of who is behind today’s incident. We are in pursuit of the attackers and action will be taken against those responsible.”
 
The RDF reassures the public that the road is now clear and safe for all traffic.
