Africa CEO Forum 2019: 1,500 business leaders expected in Kigali

The 7th edition of the largest international meeting of the African private sector will be held on 25 and 26 March in Kigali, Rwanda

KIGALI, Rwanda, January 22, 2019 / – Key industry, finance and policy makers from more than 70 countries will discuss regional integration and other key topics for business development in Africa.

At a time when intra-continental trade remains too weak, the most influential business leaders of the continent have decided to mobilize and make their voices heard.

They will converge at the AFRICA CEO FORUM 2019 to bring to the heart of the discussions the urgencies to be addressed to make African economic integration a reality.

The goal is to make the implementation of the Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA) a powerful driver for the growth of the private sector and the emergence of new African champions.


The AFRICA CEO FORUM 2019 will bring together 1,500 participants around a real transformation agenda: How to mobilize the private sector around cross-border infrastructure projects? What lessons can be drawn from the regional model of the East African Community? What should a united Africa do to better protect its interests and industries?


Through some forty panels, case studies, testimonials, public-private workshops and thematic working groups, business leaders will tackle these key issues while continuing to explore other issues.

For the development of the African private sector, such as the access of women directors to boards of directors, the growth potential of the tourism industry, banking in the digital age, regional markets for agribusiness or the governance of family businesses.
