HEROES CUP 2019 – Day 2: APR FC stuns Etincelles

It was the second day of Heroes Cup 2019 that took place this Tuesday at Kigali Stadium (Nyamirambo). The first game was between APR FC and Etincelles FC, a game that was not too challenging on the side the military team as the boys of Jimmy Mulisa, APR head coach, dominated the game which led them to a win of four goals to null. Savio Nshuti marked the first goal on 30th minute of the first half which ended with that goal only. The second half was too different from the first one, as APR FC kept the domination and on 60^th minute of the game, Muhadjili netted a second goal. In the last quarter of the game APR FC got their third goal through Yves Mugunga and after a short while it was a fourth goal as Etincelles defender Akayezu Jean Bosco scored an own goal due to miscommunication with his goal-keeper, and that made APR FC to get a win of 4-0 over Etincelles FC.

APR FC did a record break as they are the first team to get a win of four goals to null in a single game in these tournaments.

The second game was opposing Rayon Sport and AS Kigali which made a goalless match though AS Kigali played around 40 minutes with only 10 players after Nsabimana Eric (Zidane) was sent off due to two yellow cards he has been given and led to a red card.

After the second day of the tournament, Rayon Sports leads with four points same as AS Kigali also with four points, APR FC remained on third place with three points and Etincelles comes last on the fourth out four teams that are participating in this tournaments.

Final games are set to be played at Amahoro national stadium on 1^st of February 2019, the day when Rwanda celebrates the Heroes Day. AS Kigali will be playing against Etincelles FC, and APR FC against Rayon Sports.
