DRC-Rwanda Army Chiefs discuss possible elimination of insecurity in the region

FARDC Chief of General Staff Lieutenant Célestin Mbala exchanged with Rwandan General Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gen. Patrick Nyamvuba on the possibility of eradicating insecurity in the Great lakes Region.


They noted that as neighbors, the two armies must renew their cooperation commitments in order to secure each other.

He made this statement Friday, May 10 after both Army Chiefs met President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi at his office.

“As neighbors, we should renew our cooperation and commitments so that we can secure each other and improve relations between our two armies, so we can reassure the population that peace will be achieved,” said Lieutenant General Célestin Mbala Musese.
