China Embassy donates laptops to Media High Council
The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Rwanda last week donated laptops to the Rwanda Media High Council, in a bid to support the development and capacity building of the media industry.
The laptops were handed to the Executive Secretary of the Media High Council, Peacemaker Mbungiramihigo by the Political Counselor in the Embassy of China, Xing Yuchun.
In her remarks, Yuchun observed that the donation aims to show the will of The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Rwanda in contributing to the capacity Building and development of the media sector in Rwanda.
“Before, we used to partner with media houses directly, but now we wish to support the media development through the Media High Council, which is responsible for media capacity building. We will look into their plans, and strategies to see how our support can be further given where needed.” She added.
