Imfura Arts For Peace in developing Public speaking skills among youth

Public speaking is an important life skill for youth and adults alike. Even though a small fraction of the population actually makes a living Fromm public speaking, such as actors, comedians or inspirational speakers, most everyone can benefit from the ability to say a few public words without passing out. Imfura Arts as an organization based on creating social responsible leaders through arts founded by author Mfuranzima Fred has opened public speaking program to help young people to be active citizens, and to let them talk for positive changes.

Presentations are now an important part of most classroom curriculum, but they don’t end at high school graduation. Higher degrees often require a “defense” presentation, sharing the latest and greatest in any profession often involves a presentation at a conference, and if you ever plan to stand up in a best friend’s wedding, this often requires a toast. Even at the most basic level, job interviews require the ability to gather your thoughts and speak coherently in a high-pressure situation.

Within several short time courses, Imfura Arts is providing trainings on public speaking working with youth to develop public speaking skills.

Building confidence in public speaking is an important life skill with many important real-life applications, Public speaking director in Imfura Arts Tony Inganji said ” for now IMFURA Arts is providing this training for free at African Leadership University, because we want to many people who are passionate to have several skills for creating it’s meaningfully audience and skilled speakers.” Additionally, Imfura Arts is working with different programs, like writing, fashion designing, poetry and Arts performance, painting and more. Members  have the opportunities to increase their skills during different trainings and events and taught how to use them for positive changes within the community.
