Eagles off to Rwanda for CECAFA
Zambia Superleague side Green Eagles has left for Rwanda where they have been invited for this year’s CEFAFA-Kagame tournament.
Green Eagles left for Kigali around 18:00hrs from Kenneth International Airport via an Ethiopian Airline flight. Eagles will become the first Zambian team to participate in the Cecafa-Kagame Tournament.
The tournament kicks off on the 6th of July. The Champions of the tournament will bag $30,000 while Runners up will walk away with $20,000 and the third placed team $10,000.
Eagles who have been drawn in group C will play the opening match against Somali Side Heegan FC.

Group B: Azam FC (Tanzania), Mukura Victory Sports (Rwanda), Bandari Football Club (Kenya), KCCA FC (Uganda).
Group C: APR FC (Rwanda), Green Eagles (Zambia), Proline Football Club (Uganda), Heegan FC (Somalia)
Group D: Gor Mahia (Kenya), DC Motema Pembe (DRC Congo) KMKM ( Zanzibar), AS PORTS FC (Djibouti)
