Zambia: Green Eagles captain applauds warm reception in Rwanda

Green Eagles captain Ceasor Hakaloba has expressed gratitude to the people of Rwanda for the warm reception which they accorded the Choma based side for their entire stay in Kigali for the CECAFA Kagame Cup.

Hakaloba also echoed his gaffers sentiments that the tournament was being used to prepare for the CAF Champions league.

“First I would like to thank the people of Rwanda you welcomed us with open arms, It’s a friendly country. Coming to the games we played we were here to prepare for the CAF Champions League and hence our coach wanted us to work on a number of things, ” he said.

Eagles beat AS Maniema by two goals two-nil to finish third and win bronze medals and $10 000 prize money. Amity Shamende and Edward Mwamba scored a goal each to secure the win for the Choma based outfit.
