Rwanda pledge one million dollars to the African Union COVID-19 Fund and Africa CDC
Rwanda has pledged one million dollars to the African Union COVID-19 Fund and Africa CDC, each receiving $500,000.
Africa CDC is a technical institution of the African Union strengthening the capacity of Member States to respond quickly and effectively to disease threats
The announcement was made today by President Paul Kagame, TOPAFRICANEWS has learnt.

President Kagame said “I note with satisfaction Mr President, that our coordinated engagement with the G20 and among ourselves, and also with the International financial institutions, has been productive. We should continue to coordinate even more closely.”
He added that “the goal is to ensure that Africa has fiscal space needed to cushion our private sector from the crisis, and protect the human development gains of our citizens.”
