The United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Rwanda Amb. Hazza Alqahtani joined Catholic church in a Sunday mass celebration at Regina Pacis Church in Kigali.
The mass was presided by Cardinal Antoine Kambanda, Archbishop of Kigali.
In his speech to the Christians Amb. Hazza Alqahtani called on the people to be tolerant and brotherly, and stressed that having different beliefs should not be the source of conflict.
Christians at Regina Pacis Church were proud to be with the first Cardinal in the history of Rwanda, Archbishop of Kigali Antoine Kambanda.

Amb Hazza returns to the agreement signed between the Head of Catholic Church in the world Pope Francis and the leader of Islam in the UAE Imam Sheikh of al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed al-Tayyib when he visited them in February last year.
It is a pact that contains the principles of good brotherhood between Christians and Muslims in support of world peace: “Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together.”
Here Amb Hazza argues that this is a clear indication that no one can claim a religion or belief as an excuse for war, crime, extremism and discrimination.
