Commonwealth Secretary-General’s visit to Mauritius aims to strengthen Climate Finance for Small States
The Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, The Rt. Hon. Patricia Scotland QC arrived in Mauritius today ahead of the 5th Commonwealth Climate Finance Access Hub Steering Committee Meeting which will take place tomorrow.
The Commonwealth Climate Finance Access Hub (CCFAH) was established in 2016 to support Small States and Least Developed Countries that are most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. The CCFAH central hub is hosted by the Government of Mauritius in Port Louis and is a mechanism aimed at assisting small and vulnerable states to access climate finance.
On arrival in Mauritius today the Secretary-General was welcomed by H.E. Mr G. Nunkoo, the High Commissioner for Mauritius in the United Kingdom.
