Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced that major changes are being made to government services.
In a post on X, Sheikh Mohammed said that the UAE is set to radically overhaul government services in 2027.
“Our future is brighter, God willing, we announce to everyone that next November, the UAE government will announce, through a major event, the biggest change in the form of its services and the way they are provided to the public.”
The country topped a global survey on government digital services that was conducted by Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his deep sense of pride in the outstanding achievement of the UAE public sector.
“More than 75 per cent believe that the UAE government’s services outperform the digital services provided by the private sector. We are proud of our work teams, and proud of our journey in facilitating people’s lives.
“We are proud of our country that provides the best globally to its citizens, visitors, and residents on its land,” said Sheikh Mohammed.
The result of the global poll only serve to further vindicate the ‘digital-first’ approach that has been adopted by the UAE over the last decade.
Many analysts believe that the foundations put in by the UAE in relation to government digital services will enable them to do the same when it comes to the implementation of AI throughout the public sector.
Sheikh Mohammed concluded his post by extending his sincere hope that his public sector staff continue to deliver for the country.
“And we ask God to grant success to all our work teams in serving the country and its people,” said Sheikh Mohammed.
