DAY 1

DEAR FAITHFUL:

Enter totally in this reflection,

Remain in it personally,

And come out different.

During your personal reflection, read one theme every day and reflect on it from morning to evening and you finish with the short prayer below the text. On the last day, continue with the last theme, short prayer below the last theme and conclude with the general prayer below.  

“YOU WILL RECEIVE POWER WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT COME UPON YOU, AND YOU WILL BE MY WITNESSES IN JERUSALEM, THROUGHOUT JUDEA AND SAMARIA, AND TO THE END OF THE EARTH” (ACTS1: 8)

The Holy Spirit is very important in our life. It reminds us of Jesus’s teachings and the reality about the kingdom of God. Without the Holy Spirit we cannot be the true witnesses of Jesus all over the earth. Without this Spirit we cannot enter into contact with God because it is its own role to teach us how to pray to God. We need this Spirit to guide us in our daily spiritual activities and in our Faith in One God. We received this Spirit first during the infant baptism and secondly during the confirmation to become preachers of the Good News to the poor.

But due to certain difficulties we under go, we no longer give room for this spirit in our hearts as a result we are sometimes spiritually dry and we do spiritual things depending on our own physical effort and put God aside. Without this Spirit of God, we are unable to recall any message of Jesus. We can only pass out well God’s message to his people through the help of this Spirit. The action of this Spirit of God in us is maintained by our daily prayer, that way, we shall be good servants of God. Without this Spirit, we are servants of the world.

Let us pray: Come Holy Spirit fill the heart of your faithful with the knowledge to recall the teachings of Jesus and proclaim it as true witnesses of Christ to the whole world. We ask all this in the name of our lord Jesus Christ your son who lives and reigns with and the Holy Spirit One God forever and ever Amen.
