Capital Markets Authority Announces Return of Nationwide Roadshows to Boost Investment Awareness

The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Rwanda has confirmed the return of its Capital Markets Roadshows, scheduled to run from 27 October to 25 November 2026.

In partnership with the Private Sector Federation (PSF), the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE), the Rwanda National Investment Trust (RNIT), BK Capital, and licensed market players, the initiative will reach business communities across the country.

The roadshows aim to educate participants on securities, investment schemes and funds, and other regulated investment options available in Rwanda’s capital markets.

Sessions are planned in key districts spanning multiple provinces.

In the Western Province, events will take place in Rusizi District on 27 October and Rubavu District on 28 October.

The Northern Province will host a stop in Musanze District on 29 October.

Further sessions are set for Muhanga District in the Southern Province on 10 November and Nyagatare District in the Eastern Province on 11 November, with the series concluding in the City of Kigali on 25 November.

The outreach continues CMA’s practice of taking market education beyond major urban centres to engage firms and entrepreneurs closer to local economic activity.

The 2026 programme builds on the momentum of the Capital Market Issuer Roadshows held in 2025.

Those earlier sessions, organised with the same core partners, reached more than 700 enterprises, including small and medium-sized businesses, cooperatives, and prospective issuers, across all four provinces and Kigali.

For many participants outside the capital, the 2025 roadshows provided their first structured introduction to equity and debt financing options through formal markets, along with explanations of disclosure requirements and regulatory expectations.

Officials described the effort as a deliberate step to extend capital-raising opportunities to businesses that had previously had limited exposure to such mechanisms.

Rwanda has steadily expanded its capital market infrastructure since the formal launch of operations in 2008, with the Rwanda Stock Exchange facilitating listings, government bond issuances, and growing secondary market activity.

Education and outreach have formed a consistent part of this development, including earlier university campaigns and targeted investor sessions.

The 2026 roadshows maintain this focus on practical awareness while addressing both potential issuers and the broader business community interested in regulated investment products.

By continuing nationwide engagement, the partners seek to support wider participation, strengthen domestic savings channels, and reinforce the role of capital markets in long-term enterprise growth.
