Green Party Continues Sector-Level Leadership Rollout in Burera

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda (DGPR) on Friday continued its program to establish sector-level party structures, extending the exercise to Gahunga and Kinoni sectors in Burera District, Northern Province.
The initiative is part of the party’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its grassroots leadership and organizational structures across the country.
The activities began with a meeting and training session for party members, followed by elections to establish the party’s leadership at the sector level. Members elected the Sector Party Committee, the Youth Committee, and the Women’s Committee for each of the two sectors.

The event was presided over by Ibrahim Ndayamabaje, the Democratic Green Party’s Northern Province leader, who oversaw the establishment of the new sector-level structures.
The rollout in Gahunga and Kinoni follows similar exercises recently conducted in Cyanika, Rugarama, Kagogo, and Kinyababa sectors as the party continues expanding its organizational presence at the grassroots level.
According to the Democratic Green Party, the nationwide program aims to establish sector-level structures across all 416 sectors of Rwanda, strengthening the party’s internal organization and enhancing engagement with members and communities throughout the country.
