On Sunday, 12th January, 2020, the Catholic Church joined Rwanda National Police to promote Gerayo Amahoro road safety campaign. Through this partnership, the ongoing Gerayo Amahoro awareness campaign will be extended to christians in all mass around the country.
The National Police announced that “Rwanda national police and the Catholic Church have some values in common such as respect of life, solidarity and tolerance. This partnership offers an opportunity to reach, engage and educate millions of Rwandan catholic church Christians about road safety across this country.”
Today was also an opportunity to introduce to Christians the upcoming Rengera Umwana campaign which will be officially launched on 21/01/2020. It aims at creating awareness around and eradicating violence against children and to arrest perpetrators.
