Rwanda: Environment Ministry, Police sign MoU to strengthen enforcement of Environmental Laws
Rwanda’s Ministry of Environment represented by Minister Dr. Jeanne d’Arc Mujawamariya and Rwanda National Police represented by IGP Dan Munyuza signed MoU to strengthen partnership in the enforcement of environmental laws and conducting joint inspections to fight illegal activities in environment sector.
The MoU was signed on Wednesday, 11th November 2020.
The cooperation between the two public institutions will focus on capacity building in management areas of environment including water, wetlands, lakeshores & river banks, forests, land, air quality & air pollution, plastic carry bags and single-use plastic items among others.
