Israeli Tourists donated cow to needy resident of Nyamasheke
A group of 20 tourists from Israel has donated a cow to Pierre Ntakirutimana, a resident of Kamina village, Mpumbu Cell in Bushekeri Sector, Nyamasheke District.
This was done during a trip to Nyamasheke District, Western Province of Rwanda where they visited the various places in the area including the Nyungwe Forest.
Ntakirutimana said the cow will help him find manure and milk to take care of his children.
“The cow will help me get out of poverty,” He said
Nyamasheke District Vice Mayor for Economic Development, Ntaganira Josue Michael, said the gesture is good and has meaning.
“There is a meaning of that cow, …, people who are in tourism but reach out and think about giving cows to the community. Cows are an economic symbol, which means a lot. The main task is to continue to work together, to strengthen the relationship between beneficiaries and the friend from Israel.”
