Crackdown on Cheating in Government Exams: Rwanda’s Ministry of Public Service and Labor Takes Action

The Ministry of Public Service and Labor in Rwanda (MIFOTRA) is cracking down on cheating and other inappropriate behavior during exams for government positions. The reminder comes amid rumors of cheating among candidates.
MIFOTRA is urging candidates to follow the instructions given by government agencies organizing the exams and their supervising staff. It is strictly prohibited to bring phones or any electronic devices into the exam room.
The ministry has also stated that it will be closely monitoring compliance with these rules and any candidates found cheating will face severe consequences, including being banned from retaking the exams.
Furthermore, MIFOTRA warns that anyone caught assisting candidates in cheating will also face legal repercussions.
The ministry is committed to working with various institutions to ensure fair and transparent examinations for public sector jobs. Cheating and other misconduct will not be tolerated as Rwanda continues to uphold high standards of integrity in its government recruitment processes.
