La Francophonie Deploys Volunteer Teachers in Cambodia

After Rwanda, Ghana and the Seychelles, the OIF programme for Mobility of French-language Teachers has been officially launched in Cambodia.
Selected from more than 800 applications, volunteer teachers from 8 French-speaking countries completed a week of integration organised by the OIF and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia.
The volunteer teachers are from Benin, Burundi, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, France, Mozambique, and Chad.
They participated in a week-long orientation program which allowed them to familiarize themselves with the Cambodian education system, meet institutional and educational partners, share their professional practices, and participate in collaborative workshops.
The mobility of volunteer teachers is among the OIF’s flagship actions in Asia-Pacific, serving to promote French and sustainably strengthen educational skills in member countries.
