Pope Leo XIV Scheduled For Trip to Algeria

The Vatican has formally announced an official visit by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV to Algeria.

“Algeria welcomes the content of the statement issued today by the Vatican authorities announcing the upcoming official visit by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV to Algeria, at the invitation of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune,” the Presidency of the Republic stated.

“This visit will strengthen the bonds of friendship, trust, and understanding between Algeria and the Vatican.

The visit will undoubtedly open new horizons for cooperation, reflecting a mutual belief in the necessity of building a world where peace, dialogue, and justice prevail in the face of the various challenges currently facing humanity,” the source said.
