Kagame Joins Global Leaders in Chantilly to Tackle Geopolitical Instability

President Paul Kagame arrived in Chantilly, France, on Friday to participate in the 18th World Policy Conference, a high-level gathering focused on the fragmenting international order.
During the opening dinner debate, the President engaged with global policymakers on the shifting dynamics of African governance and the urgent need for a more equitable international system.
The visit comes at a pivotal moment for Rwandan diplomacy, as Kagame utilized the sidelines of the summit to hold a critical meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
Their discussions centered on deepening bilateral ties and addressing the escalating security crisis in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, with Kagame reiterating Rwanda’s stance on regional stability.
This diplomatic mission in France follows closely on the heels of the President’s recent strategic push for nuclear energy cooperation in Paris, further cementing Rwanda’s role as a proactive player in both global energy transitions and continental security architecture.
