Gorilla Feed Eyes Bigger Share of Rwanda’s Livestock Market with High-Quality Animal Feeds

KIGALI, RwandaGorilla Feed is strengthening its presence across Rwanda, using this year’s Rwanda AgriShow to showcase its range of livestock feeds and educate farmers on modern animal husbandry practices.

Speaking to TOP AFRICA NEWS during the exhibition at Mulindi Show Ground, Twibanire Emmanuel, Sales Officer at Gorilla Feed, said the company is committed to helping farmers improve livestock productivity through quality animal nutrition.

“We produce different types of animal feeds for cattle, poultry, broilers, layers and pigs. Gorilla Feed is one of the leading feed processing industries in Rwanda, with more than 10 years of experience in producing quality livestock feeds,” he said.

According to Twibanire, the company has earned the trust of farmers through consistent product quality and reliable performance.

“Our farmers are satisfied because they achieve better production. It is always encouraging to see farmers growing their businesses and improving their livelihoods through quality feeding,” he said.

He encouraged livestock farmers across Rwanda to use Gorilla Feed products to maximize animal productivity and farm profitability.

Reaching More Farmers Through AgriShow

Twibanire said participating in the Rwanda AgriShow provides an opportunity to reach farmers who may not yet be familiar with the company’s products.

“Although our feeds are already distributed across many districts in Rwanda, there are still farmers who may not know about them. That’s why we participate in exhibitions like this—to introduce our products, educate farmers and promote good livestock management practices,” he explained.

Beyond marketing its products, the company also uses the exhibition to provide practical advice on animal nutrition and farm management to help farmers achieve better results.

Strong Production Capacity

Twibanire revealed that Gorilla Feed has a large production capacity capable of meeting the growing demand from farmers across the country.

“We can produce up to 200 tonnes of animal feed per day, and we sell between 150 and 200 tonnes daily, which demonstrates our ability to supply both local and regional markets consistently,” he said.

The manufacturing plant is located in the Prime Economic Zone, Masoro, Kayumba, while the company has established a network of distributors serving different districts across Rwanda.

Positive Response from Farmers

Reflecting on this year’s Rwanda AgriShow, Twibanire described the event as successful, saying it attracted many visitors interested in learning about livestock production and quality animal feeds.

“This year’s exhibition has been very good. We received many farmers who visited our stand seeking information on livestock farming and our products,” he said.

He added that Gorilla Feed is satisfied with the Rwandan market, noting that the company has built a reliable distribution network to ensure farmers can access its products.

“We are pleased with the Rwandan market. Farmers have access to our feeds through our distributors, and we will continue investing in farmer education because knowledge is just as important as quality feed,” he said.

As Rwanda continues to modernize its livestock sector, companies like Gorilla Feed say they remain committed to supporting farmers with quality nutrition solutions that improve productivity, profitability and sustainable agricultural growth.
