Rwanda’s Minister of Environment joins other leaders to launch Africa Protected Areas Congress (APAC) in Kigali Rwanda
19th April 2021 – The Minister of Environment for Rwanda Dr Jeanne d’Arc Mujawamariya and the Africa Protected Areas Congress Secretariat, will on Tuesday 20th April 2021, at 3:00pm Rwanda time, launch the Africa Protected Areas Congress (APAC) in Kigali Rwanda.
The launch will be held in the form of a high-level event where the Rwanda Minister of Environment Dr Jeanne d’Arc Mujawamariya and leaders from key partners organisations will hold discussions. The event will also be livestreamed, providing an opportunity for journalists and other stakeholders worldwide to be part of the event
The APAC initiative will enhance the status of conservation in Africa by engaging Governments, the Private Sector, Civil Society, Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities, and Academia to shape Africa’s Agenda for Protected and Conserved Areas to better deliver benefits for people and nature.
