U.S. Terminates AGOA Trade Preference Program for Burkina Faso

The United States terminated Burkina Faso from the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) trade preference program for failing to meet the requirements of the AGOA statute.  

The Biden-Harris Administration is deeply concerned by the unconstitutional change in government in Burkina Faso.  

Burkina Faso will be provided with clear benchmarks for a pathway toward reinstatement and the Administration will work with their government to achieve that objective.
