Sudan’s RSF Leader Seeks Rwanda’s Assistance in Overcoming Crisis
In a diplomatic move to seek support for Sudan’s ongoing crisis, the leader of Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, met with His Excellency President Paul Kagame of Rwanda. The meeting aimed to discuss the exceptional conditions that Sudan is currently facing due to the war and its subsequent negative consequences on the Sudanese people.
During the meeting, Daglo provided President Kagame with a comprehensive explanation of the circumstances surrounding the outbreak of the April 15th war. He emphasized that the conflict was ignited by leaders of the former regime, with the support of elements within the Sudanese Armed Forces, in an attempt to seize power and obstruct the desired democratic transformation by the Sudanese people.
Expressing his vision for Sudan’s future, Daglo highlighted the urgent need to end the war, achieve security and stability, and restore civilian democratic governance. He commended Rwanda for its remarkable progress in rising from the ruins of wars and conflicts towards peace, development, progress, and prosperity, becoming an inspiration for many nations.
Daglo expressed his admiration for Rwanda’s outstanding experience and wise leadership and called upon the country to extend its efforts in assisting Sudan. He expressed hope that Rwanda’s assistance could aid Sudan in overcoming the crisis and restoring security and stability to the nation.
The meeting between Daglo and President Kagame signifies Sudan’s determination to reach out to sisterly and friendly countries for support during these challenging times. As Sudan continues to grapple with internal conflicts, it seeks international cooperation and guidance to pave the way for a brighter future.
