Rwanda Reveal: UK Ambassador’s Family Falls in Love with the Land of a Thousand Hills

UK Ambassador to Rwanda, Amb. Alison Thorpe, kicked off the new year in a spectacular way by introducing 11 members of her family to the wonders of Rwanda. It was a first-time visit to Africa for most of them, and they were completely captivated by everything the country had to offer.
From the moment they arrived, the group fell in love with Rwanda – the warm and welcoming people, the breathtaking wildlife, the stunning landscape, and of course, the delicious coffee. Amb. Thorpe’s family members were amazed by the beauty and diversity of the country, and they couldn’t get enough of exploring all that Rwanda had to offer.
The Ambassador herself was overjoyed to share her love for Rwanda with her loved ones, and seeing their excitement and appreciation for the country only deepened her own connection to it. As they immersed themselves in the culture, history, and natural wonders of Rwanda, it was clear that this trip would be a cherished memory for years to come.
Amb. Thorpe’s family trip not only highlighted the incredible experiences that Rwanda has to offer, but also showcased the strong bond between the Ambassador and the country she represents.
