Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Summit 2026 Attracts 4,500 Participants, Strengthening Latin America’s AI Ecosystem
Joinville (Brazil): The Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Summit closed its 2026 edition consolidating its position as one of the most significant AI events in Latin America. Held from 18 to 20 June at Ágora Tech Park, the event brought together more than 4,500 in-person attendees, representatives from every Brazilian state, and delegations from ten countries: six from Latin America and four from Europe.
Across three days of intensive programming, the Summit delivered more than 120 hours of content distributed across 80 talks, 18 thematic panels, 18 hands-on workshops, and a range of activities focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, research, and business.
The event featured more than 100 national and international speakers, gathering some of the leading experts in the field. Among the highlights were Fernando Seabra, investor at Bossa Invest and a national reference in innovation and venture capital; Dr Warren Ali of the Vector Institute, Canada; Dr Dominic Gorecky, CEO of SIPBB Switzerland; Dr Alan Celestino, Director of AI Research at Turing; Dr Diego Nogare, Director of AI at Microsoft; Pedro Andreoti of IBM; Alexandre Alves of Databricks; Daniel Lázaro of Accenture; Felipe Neumann of TikTok; Roney Lima do Nascimento, PhD candidate at the University of São Paulo (USP); Onédio Seabra Junior, responsible for Artificial Intelligence management at the Brazilian Army; and Lorena Cerutti, researcher at SENAI CIMATEC.
Beyond technical and strategic content, the Summit featured three large areas dedicated to business and corporate relationships, including three executive networking evenings at the event’s traditional Rooftop, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, executives, researchers, and public-sector leaders.
Among the most notable moments of the edition was the official launch of the NEXUS Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Science, Technology and Innovation, an initiative that seeks to strengthen applied research, talent development, open innovation, and the international connection of Brazil’s AI ecosystem.
Another highlight was the announcement of Summit 2027, which will mark the event’s evolution to a new level of international scope, further expanding the presence of specialists, companies, universities, investors, and global research centres.
Innovative entrepreneurship was also in focus through DinoTank, an arena for AI startup presentations that brought together six companies pursuing strategic connections, visibility, and investment opportunities.
Organised by Q-Assist and the NEXUS AI Campus, the Summit had the support of national and international sponsors and consolidated its mission to connect technology, business, and the AI ecosystem in an environment of collaboration, economic development, and future-building.
