Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Louise Mushikiwabo, met this Monday, October 8, Mrs. Michaëlle Jean the current Canadian Executive Secretary of the OIF / International Organization of the Francophonie in Yerevan Armenia.
Mushikiwabo is in Armenia as a candidate on OIF General Secretariat Position.
However Mushikiwabo is whispered to win the Position in elections that will take place in Armenia in about next three days from this Tuesday .
Rwandan Minister Louise Mushikiwabo is a contender for the position of Secretary General of the OIF in the same way as Canadian Haitian Michaëlle Jean who wants to be reappointed for a second and final term at the head of this prestigious association.
The meeting of these two political figures brought mixed reactions on Social media as a sign of fair play and friendliness of the two contenders.
The Rwandan candidate Louise Mushikiwabo has always displayed a slogan-program for her election as head of this institution according to which once elected at the head of this institution, she will promote the French language.
She said she will create employment among young people and, she added, it will increase the confidence of the OIF and its partners through the exchange of experiences.
Mushikiwabo recently told TV5 Monde that she is confident to win these elections.
Mushikiwabo is supported by the Africa Union Member Countries, Asian Countries and European Countries with the endorsement of French President Emmanuel Macron who have emphasized that Mushikiwabo is the best candidate for OIF.
