Conference on Family Planning to discuss women’s role in Creating Positive Change

KIGALI– From Monday, Rwanda hosts the International Conference on Family Planning.

This global gathering which runs from 12th November to 15 November 2018 will take place at the Kigali Convention Centre (KCC)

On 13th November there will be The Women of Impact: Global Leaders Creating Positive Change panel discussion which will focus on women in leadership roles around the world.

The Discussion Panel will bring together women who are agents of change in their communities and countries.

Through their philanthropic achievements, work within humanitarian settings, youth outreach efforts and beyond, women have impacted the family planning, economic empowerment and social justice fields in extraordinary ways. These high-profile female leaders from the social, economic and political spheres will discuss how to create a culture that empowers women to become positive disruptors.

This year’s Women of Impact panel includes the following invited global female leaders and change-makers:

H.E. Mrs. Jeannette Kagame, First Lady of the Republic of Rwanda

H.E. Martine Moise, First Lady of Haiti

Her Royal Highness Sarah Zeid, Princess of Jordan,

H.E. Toyin Ojora Saraki, Founder of the Wellbeing Foundation

Session Chair: Alma Golden, Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator, USAID Bureau for Global Health
