KAMPALA,- Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed will on Friday make a two-day state visit to Uganda where he will be awarded a medal of honor, said a statement on Wednesday.

Rwandan President Paul Kagame and Equatorial Guinea’s leader Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo are some of the African leaders to whom Uganda has given the medal.

A Ugandan State House statement said Abiy will be awarded The Pearl of Africa Grand Master medal at a function where Ugandan heroes will be celebrated on Saturday.

The medal is awarded to heads of state who have made a contribution towards the independence struggle of Africa.
