Rwanda’s capital sets up public benches around gardens
Rwanda: The City of Kigali has begun the process of setting up public seats around the gardens so that people will have a place to sit, talk, relax, read books, in order to maintain a clean and safe City.
The exercise started with 75 public benches in 33 identified areas such as Rwandex garden and Imbuga City Walk — formerly known as Kigali Car-Free Zone, which is a project that will expand as capacity becomes available.
“We urge the public to take good care of these infrastructure”, the city announced in a short message published on social media.
This, officials say, is in line with making Kigali a green, clean and livable city.
