Solidarity Day: AGL mobilizes its employees around the Schools for Prosperity program

On the occasion of the 3rd edition of its Solidarity Day, which will be held on September 24, Africa Global Logistics (AGL), a major player in logistics in Africa, will mobilize its employees in all its countries around a common objective: to promote access to quality education for the younger generations.

This edition marks an important step in AGL’s societal commitment, with the official launch of Schools for Prosperity, its new sponsorship program dedicated to improving learning conditions across all its countries of presence in Africa. Through this initiative, AGL aims to contribute sustainably to quality education by supporting the renovation of school infrastructure, the school equipment, teacher support and the promotion of girls’ access to education.

Already committed to education for many years, AGL has supported 18 schools across Africa since 2025. With the launch of Schools for Prosperity, the group intends to amplify this commitment and make its action sustainable. Solidarity Day 2026 will be a major first step for the program, with the mobilization of the group’s employees in some thirty schools in different countries. The solidarity actions carried out will include donations of school supplies and equipment, the renovation and construction of classrooms and the rehabilitation of school infrastructure, thus contributing to the improvement of students’ learning conditions.

With Schools for Prosperity, we want to take concrete action alongside local actors to offer young people learning conditions that are conducive to their success. This Solidarity Day illustrates the ability of our employees to mobilize collectively to generate a positive and lasting impact across the continent,” explains Khadija Komara, AGL’s Director of Communications and Philanthropy.

Through its entire network, AGL employees will mobilize alongside schools and local communities to carry out concrete actions in favor of education:

Senegal – Hann Montagne A and Hann Montagne B / Bel Air Primary School: rehabilitation of 24 classrooms, provision of school desks and renovation of toilet blocks in partnership with the Association Bien-Être Scolaire.
Nigeria – KiriKiri Primary School in Kirikiri town: renovation of 9 classrooms, the school’s security post and its canteen.
Togo – Schools in the prefecture of VO: construction of a three-classroom school building at the EPP Anfamé Nord 2 and refurbishment of several primary schools in the VO cantons.
Ethiopia – Akaki Mengist Primary School: provision of equipment adapted to students with disabilities and special needs, including hearing aids, wheelchairs and sign language dictionaries.

These initiatives will be complemented by other actions carried out in several countries of the AGL network, including Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire, Chad, Madagascar, Mali, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, etc.

With the launch of Schools for Prosperity, AGL confirms its commitment to education in a symbolic, structured and sustainable way. By mobilizing its employees, the Group intends to make a concrete contribution to provide every young person with the conditions they need to build a brighter future.
