Heroes’Day: Kagame calls for continuous progress

President Kagame who is expected to attend the 38th Extraordinary EAC Heads of State Summit has wished Rwandans a Happy Heroes Day in a Tweet that he made on Friday Morning.
President Kagame Tweeted “To ALL the heroes of our Country and Struggle…for whom this day is meant to be remembered, the sacrifice and dedication have not been in vain. It is the duty of all of us to keep progress going for the country to be where we want!!! A very good day to You.”
Rwandans will today mark Heroes’Day, an annual event to pay tribute to people who exemplified and defended the highest values of patriotism and sacrifice for the wellbeing of the country and its citizens.
Among others, heroic values celebrated today include proven integrity, patriotism and sacrifice, acts of bravery, setting a good example, truthfulness, and love for others.
Celebrations will be held in villages across the country and discussions will focus on the theme, “Sustaining heroism in a vision we have chosen”.
