VIDEO: Esther’s Aid holds 13th Graduation Ceremony

Last Week-end Esther’s Aid held its 13th Graduation where about 280 students were graduated in Culinary Arts and Hospitality, Fashion Design, and Work Ready Now soft skills.

The graduation was graced by various officials among them there are Rwanda’s State Minister for Social Affairs, Dr. Alvera Mukabaramba, and representatives’ Rwandan ministries and departments, development partners, international and local NGOs, and the private sector.

The daily functioning of Esther’s Aid organization is supported by various partners including the Government of Rwanda, the Education Development Centre (EDC), Private Sector, Hotels and USAID’s Huguka Dukore Akazi Kanoze Project.

Speaking at the Event, Rwanda’s State Minister for Social Affairs, Dr. Alvera Mukabaramba commended Esther’s Aid’s role in training young people in various domains adding that those 280 students who graduated are added to the over a million jobs that the Government of Rwanda is targeting to create by 2024.

Clare Effiong, the Esther’s Aid Country Mission Director told TOPAFRICANEWS that empowering young people through Esther’s Aid work is basically relied upon God’s willing with the Support from various Donors.

The USAID’s country Mission Director Madam Leslie said supporting the vocational education in Rwanda will remain a priority as it was seen that youth trained in vocational studies are likely to become practical and productive.

The Esther’s Aid partners who include Hotels confirm that graduates from Esther’s aid are very productive and even those who complete Internship programs are likely to get employments because of their productivity.
