Kigali: RWB, KEITI sign Water Resources Development agreement
Kigali, 18th April, 2023: Rwanda Water Resources Board (RWB) and Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute of the Republic of Korea (KEITI) signed the implementation agreement for the project titled ‘Master Plan for Water Resources Development in Mbuye, Ruhango District.’
The agreement was signed by RWB Director General Dr. Emmanuel Rukundo and KEITI Vice President Lee Woo Weon.
Dr. Rukundo noted that this project will also ensure the sustainability of the resources and build resilience against climate change and variability.
He added that the establishment of a water resources masterplan will strengthen water resources management in Ruhango District to improve water supply for domestic & agricultural purposes & generate hydropower as a contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
