Don Bosco Student Inspires Girls to Pursue TVET Education
Technical courses are the key to the lifelong success of the youth and the nation in general. Removing gender gaps in Technical courses is one of the priorities of the Salesian Technical schools with the particular aim of increasing the number of girls studying Technical and vocational courses in Don Bosco schools.
Recently, Salesians of Don Bosco in Africa of Great Lakes Province LAUNCHED a partnership project funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation through Jugend Eine Welt to bring more female students in Salesian Technical schools in Rwanda and Uganda. This is for sure another support to the promotion of Girls and Women in Technical courses, thanks to all partners who are always striving to make this a reality.
In order to achieve this goal, girls and women should be the first to have the courage join Technical schools in order to prepare for a better future. Shadia is one of the female students studying electrical trade at Don Bosco Gatenga Technical Education and Vocational Training School. She encourages girls to be brave and study technical courses for their self-worth.
