Drones Attack Kisangani’s Bangboka Airport

About 8 kamikaze drones have reportedly attacked Bangboka International Airport about 30km outside Kisangani city, according to our local sources.

The Tshopo provincial government was the first to announce the attack which has caused panic within the security establishment.

According to the source the attack was launched between Saturday, morning and the night of Sunday, February 1, 2026.

The provincial authorities, said that the kamikaze drones carrying unconventional munitions were reportedly used in the operation, which is blamed on the AFC/M23 rebels.

No major damage or human casualties were reported according to the provincial authorities who described the incident as a terrorist attack.
