Angolan President leaves France with more than $ 1.16 billion investment agreements

Angola will benefit from an investment portfolio of more than $ 1.16 billion, Angop news agency reported on Wednesday.

According to information published by the media, this amount obtained from several economic partners, after the visit of the Angolan president in France, will be invested in several sectors such as agriculture, trade, oil, and Training.

Thus, $ 116.6 million should be granted by the French Development Agency (AFD) to support the Angolan agribusiness sector.

A credit line of $ 583.1 million will also be granted to the country by Crédit Agricole, to finance the implementation of several projects.

Apart from this, the authorities have also announced an agreement with the operator Total for the exploration and distribution of petroleum products, as well as the granting of 50 scholarships to young Angolans wishing to pursue training in the hydrocarbons sector.

These new agreements are in addition to the series of funding that President Joao Lourenço (photo) has undertaken to mobilize since the beginning of his mandate, in order to finance his national development plan.
