Rwanda completes 2020 contribution payment for the United Nations Regular Budget in full

Rwanda is among 88 UN member countries that have paid their regular budget assessments in full for the year 2020.
The UN said as of as of 1 May 2020, 88 Member States have paid their regular budget assessments in full.
UN daily activities rely on the financial contributions from the member countries.
Subsequent to the end of the 30 days due period (1 February 2020), 53 additional Member States have paid their 2020 regular budget assessment in full while 35 Member States paid their regular budget assessments in full within the 30 day due period specified in Financial Regulation 3.5 (by 1 February 2020).
In total, Rwanda paid $ 84,160 as of 13-Mar-2020.
Other African countries that have paid their contribution in full are Djibouti, Morocco, Namibia, South Africa, Egypt, Kenya, Algeria, Ethiopia,
Rwanda’s Permanent representative to the United Nation, Valentine Rugwabiza said on her Twitter account that “#Rwanda is one of the 43 Member States to have honored its obligations and paid its contributions to the UN in full, despite challenging times, stressed national budgets and limited resources.
