NAEB donates Model village to residents relocated from high risk zones in Karongi

The Rwanda National Agriculture Export Board (NAEB) has donated a model village to residents relocated from high risk zones in Rugabano, Karongi District.
The IDP model village is made of four-in-one and eight-in-one units.
Rugabano IDP Model Village comprises living apartments, a secondary school, an Early Childhood Development Centre (ECD), a health post, a workshop, cowsheds, a multipurpose hall, selling points and other infrastructure facilities.

The new settlements village is already a home for 244 households and it is expected that 80 more will be accommodated next week.
The village surrounds new tea estate by Luxmi Tea company
These families will be premium beneficiaries of all advantages and job opportunities generated by the tea sector.
