Mr. Vincent Munyeshyaka who has served as the Minister of Trade and Industry in the Rwandan cabinet from 31 August 2017 to 23 October 2018 has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Rwanda’s Business Development Fund (BDF).

Mrs. Rosalie Semigabo appointed the Deputy CEO of BDF.

Munyeshyaka Vincent is coming to BDF in difficult times as the Fund has been exposed to mismanagement of public funds until MPs demanded that its management be reformed.

The difficult work ahead for Munyeshyaka includes making every effort to regain the confidence for the Fund, especially among the youth who have often said that their projects were given less attention at the time when they had applied for funding.

His past assignments include, among others: (a) Head of the Financial Markets Development Section at the National Bank of Rwanda, the country’s Central Bank and national financial sector regulator, (b) Director of the Corporate Planning Unit, (c) Coordinator of Government Investments Portfolio Management Unit, (d) Executive Director of the Financial Sector Development Secretariat respectively in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, (e) Permanent Secretary in the Rwanda Ministry of Local Government and Minister of State in charge of Socio Economic Development within the same Ministry before joining MINICOM in 2017.
