Bugesera: More than 80% vaccinated against Covid-19
Rwanda: Vaccine participants say they have come to understand the importance of vaccination, where more than 215,000 people in Bugesera District over the age of 18 have received the first and second Covid-19 doses.
In Bugesera, as in other parts of Rwanda, vaccination is underway and the number of people receiving COVID 19 vaccine is increasing.
The District’s latest report this week shows that the number of recipients of both doses is 215,400 while the number of those to be vaccinated is 269,401, MUHAZI Yacu reports on Friday.
Countries such as the United States of America, U.K, China, Italy, others are supporting Rwanda by availing vaccines for the people of Rwanda
The Ministry of Health encourages people to take part in immunization and to adhere to the Covid 19 Prevention guidelines.
Dr. Daniel Ngamije, the Minister of Health, said that all people should take part in the vaccination program and adhere to the Covid 19 Prevention Guide so that they can end the year well, celebrating the holidays with no Stay at home like last year.
“The vaccines we are looking for are being provided; in the community, we urge people to take immediate action, get vaccinated, and follow the instructions to ensure that we have a good time; we start the year without staying at home. ”
In the meantime, Rwanda on Friday established new prevention measures as new COVID 19 omicron variant emerges in the country.
To date, more than 7,080,000 people have been vaccinated with the first 19 doses, and more than 4,500,000 have taken the two doses.
More than 36,000 people have taken the third dose that strengthens their immune system.
