ICK Community Commemorate 30th Genocide Anniversary
BY Coppens Gisele
Today, on May 3, 2024, the wider Institut Catholique de Kabgayi (ICK) Community has joined Rwandans and the global community in remembering the 30th anniversary of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsis.
Speaking about the importance of Reconstruction, Father Prof. Dushimimana emphasized that “Rebuilding” does not simply refer to the aftermath of the Genocide, but rather to finding the strength to create a better future for both individuals and the country as a whole.
He further stated, “It also involves preserving the progress that Rwanda has made in the past three decades, strengthening the unity of Rwandans, safeguarding our history, promoting justice, and moving forward without being held back by the past.”
