New 7,532 M23 Commandos Complete Intense Training

The AFC/M23 has announced that it has added a new batch of 7,532 Commandos to the ranks of it’s armed wing known as the Congolese Revolutionary Army (ARC).

The training described as rigorous was conducted at Tshanzu base.

The rebel alliance said the objective is the re-establishment of effective state authority throughout the national territory.

“Following this intensive program, 7,532 commandos were integrated into the operational force. This training, described as rigorous and methodically structured, is part of an overall strategy to consolidate the ARC’s military capabilities,” the rebel alliance said in a statement on Sunday.

According to the alliance the training program placed a central emphasis on discipline, inter-unit coordination, and strict adherence to the chain of command, considered fundamental pillars of an organized and effective armed force.

In the areas currently liberated and under its control, the AFC/M23 said that it is focusing its actions on strictly military missions, including securing and defending strategic positions, as well as controlling key operational axes and zones, with the aim of maintaining tactical superiority.

The rebels said that beyond the numerical announcement, this buildup raises major issues for the future security of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the region.
