Dataxis Survey Reveals Strong Demand for In-Car Video Streaming Among Premium European Drivers

A new Dataxis In-Car Survey from February 2026 indicates that while general interest in in-car video streaming is moderate across Europe, demand is highly concentrated within the premium car market.
The survey, which covered respondents from the UK, France, and Germany, found that overall, only 38% of drivers expressed a desire to access video applications while their car is parked, with France (34%) and Germany (32%) reporting lower overall figures.
However, a closer look at the data highlights strong enthusiasm among specific consumer groups. Interest levels soar to 60% among drivers of premium brands, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi.
Similarly, 53% of owners of vehicles less than three years old across the three countries are interested in the feature.
The United Kingdom proved to be the most receptive market, with 76% of premium car owners and 63% of newer vehicle owners expressing interest in accessing video apps while parked.
“The interest is concentrated among specific groups,” noted Sa Eva Nebie, Head of Research at Dataxis, providing context on the survey’s findings.
